Description
Original painting: Watercolor on panel, 8 × 10 in
Valley Light invites the viewer into a quiet alpine basin where soft mist drifts between forested slopes and golden meadows. Painted in watercolor on textured panel, Charles Cherry combines textured layering with atmospheric transparency to create depth and tranquility. Tall evergreens flank both sides of the composition, gradually dissolving into gentle haze as the eye moves toward the luminous clearing beyond. Warm ochres and greens dominate the foreground, while cooler hues guide the gaze into the heart of the valley. With its peaceful palette and serene perspective, this painting captures a fleeting moment where light, land, and stillness converge.
