Von Schroeder’s Barn depicts a weathered red barn standing resilient against the quiet stillness of winter. The textured siding, rendered with layered watercolor washes and fine linear detail, conveys decades of exposure to the elements. Snow drapes across the barn’s roof and blankets the surrounding landscape, while a pale winter sky and bare-limbed tree form a calm, atmospheric backdrop. The work blends realism with expressive brushwork, highlighting both the architectural character of the structure and the serene beauty of its rural setting.
