Description
Original painting: Watercolor on paper, 15 × 11 in
Evening at the Teepee is a peaceful homage to the rhythms of land and sky. Charles Cherry places a lone teepee at the edge of golden grasslands, backlit by soft evening light and framed by quiet greenery. Gentle smoke curls upward, suggesting warmth and life within, while distant blue mountains fade into the horizon. Overhead, a soaring hawk and two smaller birds drift across the sky, evoking freedom and connection to the natural world. With its warm palette and tranquil composition, the painting radiates serenity and reverence for the stillness of the earth’s quieter moments.
